Chennai metro water department to reduce daily water supply
Even after the recent showers, there seems to be no significant improvement in storage levels in city lakes. As a result, the Chennai Metro Water department is thinking to slash down its daily water supply.

Tomato price up in Koyambedu vegetable market
As it rained heavily in the states of Andhra and Karnataka due to the Southwest monsoon rainy season and some part of the harvested tomatoes are sent to the Northern States, the quantity of tomatoes arriving in Chennai.

CM inaugurates Porur flyover

Metro water officials prevented possible road cave near Gemini flyover
There was a manhole observed on the Nungambakkam High Road. On observing that the manhole was prone to get caving in, this, the metro water field engineers dug up the arterial road. This caused heavy traffic on the flyover

Chennai Corp removes hyacinth from Velachery and Okkiam Maduvu
As there is no desilting equipment available with the PWD, the state government has instructed the Chennai Corporation to remove water hyacinth from Velachery Lake and Okiyam Maduvu channel.

Traffic congestion near Gemini Bridge
