Original driving licence mandatory - 2 lakh persons throng RTOs last 4 days
Following the categorical Tamil Nadu State government order that the vehicle drivers must keep their original driving licence while driving, a crowd of over 2 lakh person thronged all the RTOs in order to renew their licence.

License on DigiLocker cannot replace original hardcopy
Clarifying all the doubts among the public, city traffic police clarified that according to the Motor Vehicles Act, motorists cannot carry the DigiLocker as a substitute for carrying original driving license.

The Police officials have informed that if the vehicle driver keeps the original driving licence in the shirt pocket just as they keep their ATM card, it is possible to escape an imprisonment for 3 months.
