The Chennai Meteorological Centre has informed that there are high prospects of rain in Tamil Nadu in the next 2 days.A cyclonic format has developed over the central-west part of Bay of Bengal. Because of this, it has rained.

A recent press release from the Chennai Meteorological Centre informs that the depression which had formed over the Bay of Bengal has weakened in intensity, However, there may be rains in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry due.

Currently the South West Monsoon rains are prevailing in Tamil Nadu. At this juncture a well marked low pressure which had centered over northwest Bay of Bengal and system is likely to move west-northwestwards and cross the West Bengal coast.

A depression is likely to form over the west-central and its adjoining northwest Bay in the next 48 hours. As a result, light to moderate rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at isolated places in Tamil Nadu.
