Chennai rains take backseat, to return after 48 hours
Chennai rains have finally taken a backseat, as the city witnessed dry weather on Thursday after three consecutive days of Monsoon showers. Further, we expect dry weather to persist over the state capital and nearby areas.

Light rain for Chennai, no heavy showers for at least a week

Mild rain expected for the next 2 days in Tamil Nadu
The Director of the Chennai Meteorological Centre, S. Balachandran, informed that the very strong low-pressure zone which had formed over the central-west Bay of Bengal has weakened.

Chennai Water Supply Lakes position as on date compared to last year
The 5 lakes have 5.3 tmc of water compared to just 1.5 tmc last year. We will also get Krishna water that too has good storage. Overall we are in better position compared to last year.
