As time goes, the rains will pick up in Chennai too from Tonight and tomorrow. We can get good rains with occassional sharp spells from tonight till 1st December.

As predicted by Skymet Weather, the south coastal districts received good rains in the last 24 hours. All thanks to the well-marked low-pressure area that was over Southwest Bay of Bengal off Sri Lanka coast.

Chennai rains have been playing the freak show and the no show game for quite some time now. So much so that there have been days when the city of Chennai has recorded a whopping three-digit rain.

Chennai Rains were quite hefty two days ago. So much so that three-digit rains were seen over parts of the capital city of Tamil Nadu. These rains were attributed to the presence of a low-pressure area in the Southwest.

During the past 24 hours, light to moderate rains with isolated heavy spells were recorded over Tamil Nadu. These rains can be attributed to the low pressure area over Southwest Bay of Bengal off Sri Lanka Coast.

Heavy Rainfall warning from tonight and 30th November till Dec 1st as the Low Pressure near Sri Lanka will intensify into rare Cyclone in next 1-2 days in Comorin.

The chennai and subruban belt will see moderate rains due to pull effect from tonight or tomorrow morning. Good rains not heavy though can be expect as a result of moisutre pull from the comorin sea,

Back to back weather systems in Bay of Bengal has kept the Northeast Monsoon active ever since its onset. Now, another low pressure area is brewing in Bay of Bengal and will be approaching India East Coast soon.

Chennai rains keep playing their same old games with rainfall activity being on the lower side at times while showers remaining heavy over some period of time.

As the low in SW bay moves into Comorin sea in a day or two most of the action will be in STN and delta belt.
