FreeCharge teams up with IRCTC for ticket booking
The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation, IRCTC, has teamed up with FreeCharge to provide digital payments for booking of tickets. The IRCTC is a subsidiary of the Indian Railways.

Puducherry - New Delhi trains permanently augmented
Train No.22404 / 22403 New Delhi - Puducherry - New Delhi (via Chennai Egmore) weekly express trains will be permanently augmented by one AC 3-tier coach ex. New Delhi from 20.11.2016.

Railway Ticket Refund against only PAN, Aadhar and Details of Bank Account
The Southern Railway has mentioned that passengers cancelling high value advanced booked tickets should produce Aadhar or PAN card at the ticket counter.After the demonetization of Rs 1000 and Rs 500 notes.

Unreserved railway tickets may soon be booked using e-wallets
The Railways may introduce booking of unreserved railway tickets on e-wallets like PayTM, JioMoney and Airtel Money.The move is also expected to help scale up paperless mobile ticketing operation across the country.
