POS train tickets reservation: Customer care cum monitoring cell
Southern Railway has installed Point of Sales (POS) machines at 247 railway reservation centres, 70 suburban stations and 71 booking offices for the benefit of travelling public using Debit/Credit cards.

Experimental stoppage has been provided for Train No.22663 / 22664 Chennai Egmore � Jodhpur � Chennai Egmore weekly express trains at ongolerailway station (in Andhra Pradesh) for a period of six months.

Conversion of express trains as Superfast Express trains
Train No.16561 / 16562 Yesvantpur - Kochuveli - Yesvantpur AC weekly express trains are to be speeded up and run as Superfast Express trains. The trains will also be renumbered.
