Increased in number of tickets booked through online
In order to incentivise the passengers for linking their Aadhaar ID and Mobile Number for booking of tickets, the present ceiling of 6 tickets that can be booked by an individual user in a month on the IRCTC.

Train No.12218 / 12217 Chandigarh - Kochuveli - Chandigarh bi-weekly express trains will be temporarily augmented by one Sleeper Class coach ex Chandigarh from 04.10.2017 to 01.11.2017.

No service charges for online train booking till March
Service charges ranging from Rs. 20 to Rs. 40 were being collected for booking train tickets on the IRCTC website.

Railways not to paste Reservation charts in trains henceforth
Giving a push to its Go Green policy, Indian Railways has decided not to paste reservation charts on train coaches henceforth. For about 3 months, this will be implemented on trial basis.
