TN stores most of its wealth as gold
A major portion of the wealth of households in Tamil Nadu are stored in the form of gold. Out of their total debt, about 40 percent are in the form of gold loan, as discovered by the Reserve Bank of India�s panel.

PAN card mandatory even to sell gold kept in home
The central finance regulatory committee has recommended that PAN card must be made mandatory to sell gold. The Financial Regulatory Committee was formed during the meeting conducted by the Finance Stability.

Ban on import of gold from South Korea
In the uninterrupted trade agreement on a contract, a ban has been imposed on import of gold from South Korea. Gold attracts a GST of 3%. As compared to the previous taxes, this is up by 3.24%.
