Film ticket rates up again
Acceding to the demands of the Tamil Nadu Film Trading Council of Tamil film producers, the state government of Tamil Nadu has increased the basic rates of the film tickets. The minimum value ticket has been increased from Rs. 15 to Rs. 20.

Entertainment tax reduced by 2% - it will be 8% now
The state government of Tamil Nadu originally proposed 30% additional entertainment tax and reduced it to 10% after strong protests from the film industry.
