Increase in the number of containment zones in Chennai
Municipal administration minister, Mr. S.P. Velumani on Tuesday, 21st April 2020, mentioned that the Chennai Corporation had set up as many as 112 containment zones in areas where the residents have tested positive for corona virus.

Police Commissioner warning: Goondas Act if any objections to interring dead bodies!
The Chennai Police Commissioner A. K. Viswanathan IPS have warned that those who object to interring of dead bodies (due to COVID-19 infection) may be arrested and imprisoned under the Goondas Act.

Revised tollgate charges effective from today (21st April)!
Tollgates start functioning after a 27days gap due to the lockdown imposition. The employees wore face masks and gloves performing their duties. Toll charges have been revised upwards by Highways Dept.
