On Tuesday, 9th June 2020, health minister Mr. C. Vijayabaskar had mentioned that soon there would be 1100 more hospital beds for the Corona virus-infected patients in the worst-hit Chennai city.

Number of fever camps increased by the Chennai Corporation now to help residents
The number of fever camps in the Chennai city has been increased from 140 to 300 now by the GCC. This has been done to contain the spread of the Coronavirus issue.
