Chennaites to experience heavy rains on Saturday
Meteorological Department said an upper air cyclonic circulation over Sri Lanka and the adjoining Gulf of Mannar and other areas persisted. Many parts of the State, both in the north and the south, would receive heavy rain on Saturday too.

Legendary actor S.S Rajendran passed away
Owing to illness, renowned actor SS Rajendran who was admitted in a hospital in Chennai passed away following failure of treatment. He was 86 years old.
