15.26 Lakhs people have applied for their Electors Photo Identity Cards. These cards are to be distributed to the applicants by Arasu e-Service centres throughout Tamil Nadu.

Private milk producer hike the price of milk and curd
Recently the prices of milk and curd were hiked by Heritage milk. The price of curd went up by Rs. 7 a litre and milk, by Rs. 4. The reason for this there is severe scarcity of milk in Tamil Nadu.

Prices of rice go up due to severe drought
The prices of rice have gone up due to severe drought in Tamil Nadu. One kilo of rice is sold for Rs 56. Since the northeast monsoon failed, the harvests in the delta districts were deeply affected.
