Gold coins seized in Salem by Election officers

Election officers confiscated unaccounted money totaling Rs.13lakh in several places across Salem and Dharmapuri constituencies on Saturday and Sunday. In Coimbatore, the city and rural police seized more than Rs.9 lakh in cash and 1,890 gold-coated coins on Sunday morning. Election officers in Namakkal and Kumbakonam seized cash, jewellery and silk saris worth Rs.14.2 lakh.
