Chennai metro rail has been making news often these days. The latest news that has come out now is the second phase of Chennai metro is under the consideration of the international funding agencies now. The secretary then added that the state government was asked about chalking out comprehensive mobility plan. He finally threw light on how the second phase of the Metro rail has been sent to JICA or Japan International Cooperation Agency and ADB or Asian Development Bank and how this second phase on metro rail is under the consideration of JICA and ADB. The second phase of Metro rail would cover a distance of 107.55 kms over three corridors and it was planned at an estimated amount of Rs 85,047 crores.
