Facebooks official launch of Gameroom

Facebook, in collaboration with cross-platform game engine Unity has officially launched Gameroom which is a desktop gaming platform on Windows. The announcement about collaboration between the two was made in August.
The Facebook Gameroom will provide newer and easier opportunities for developers to create high-quality gaming for Pc where the CPU and GPU negative power can have their best use.
In a statement, the Technical Program Manager of Facebook, Sheree Lee said developers can deploy their projects both on the official page Facebook.com or on Gameroom desktop app. While deploying on the social network site, one has to use Unity’s WebGL support.
At times when the Facebook target build is active in the Unity Editor, the Facebook SDK for Unity API can be used for sharing with Facebook friends and gain access to Graph API.
The Unity API service will also be usable for the developers for handling the in-app purchases on Facebook.
The Gameroom developer beta makes available the Facebook support for Unity, added Lee.
