Tamil Nadu Government issues instructions to ration shop staffs

Tamil Nadu Government has issued 10 important instructions to the employees of fair price shops. On Tuesday a review meeting held at Chennai Secretariat. Co-operative Department Minister Sellur K. Raju issued those instructions during the meeting. They are as under:

While supplying the free rice to the consumers, there should be no kind of defects. Every day the stock board of the commodities sold should be displayed and updated.

If a commodity under the special distribution scheme is supplied lesser than the required, the concerned staff should immediately inform the district collector, zonal registrar and district supplier office.   

When a consumer comes to purchase in the fair price shop, all commodities should be supplied without any hesitation. The commodities should be in the right weight.

People should not be put into trouble when they come to buy the commodities. All the shops should be opened punctually according to the timings. The telephone numbers of the officials should be displayed so that the public can make their complaints.

All the fair price shops should have a complaint book that should be visible to consumers. No outsiders should be allowed inside the fair price shops. If the above instructions are not followed, strict actions will be taken the concerned staff.
