World Sight Day being celebrated in Chennai

Every year during the second week of October the World Sight Day is being celebrated throughout the world. A special awareness week is also being celebrated in Chennai. Free eye camps and awareness talks will be held throughout the week. This is being organised by Central Chennai Rotary Club, Sankara Nethralaya and Exonara Club.
An awareness seminar and human chain to explain about the World Sight Day was organised at Sri RKM Sarada Vidyalaya Girls Higher Secondary School, T Nagar. Eye screening camp is held today at Sri RKM Sarada Vidyalaya Girls Higher Secondary School, Usman Road from 9 AM onwards. Tomorrow a eye screening camp will be held at Anjugam primary school located in Choolaimedu from 9.30 A M. Coming Saturday, a eye screening camp will be held from 9 A M at Sri Kanyaka Parameswari Arts and Science College for Women, 1, Audiappa Naicken St, Parry`s, Chennai, Tamil Nadu 600001.
