Good positive signs!!The recovery rate from COVID infection is nearly 90% in Chennai

This news could make many Chennai residents heave a sigh of relief!!
The second Covid-19 wave has been very severe compared to the first wave and many have got the infection now in Chennai. People have been struggling to come to terms with this deadly infection.
It is now revealed by the date from Chennai Corporation that the number of those who have recovered from this infection has crossed 3lakhs and the growth rate has also been coming down in some areas in Chennai. As many as 303531 persons have recovered from the Covid-19 infection in Chennai (89% recovery rate). This was on Sunday morning. In Chennai, on Saturday alone, 5693 persons have recovered from this infection.
It must be taken into note that in the Anna Nagar zone the number of recovered patients was the highest ever. Here, 32623 persons have recovered from the Coronavirus infection. Important zones such as Teynampet and Kodambakkam saw 31168 and 29606 recoveries. The CFR or case fatality rate in Chennai is nearly 1.41% that is 4791 persons have died due to the infection.
In the last week of March, Chennai had a growth rate of nearly 8% and now the growth rate of fresh cases has come down to 4.9% in the week and that is a positive sign. Zones such as Manali, Tiruvottriyur and Tondiarpet witnessed below zero percent growth rates of new Covid-19 cases. The growth rate in Manali zone in north Chennai is now minus 4.8% and it is the lowest in entire Chennai.
