Permission for the resumption of 100 Days Job opportunity scheme: TN Government

The State Government of Tamil Nadu has granted permission to resume the 100 Days Job Opportunity Scheme. Further, in the interior areas where there is very less impact of the coronavirus pandemic, activities such as desilting of lakes, construction works, etc., can be resumed while STRICTLY ADHERING TO THE SOCIAL DISTANCING.
In Tamil Nadu, the number of persons affected with coronavirus infection has increased to 1683!
So far, 752 persons have recovered. Further, the State department of health while giving these data, added that 20 lives have been lost.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has extended the lockdown imposition in the 2nd Phase until 3rd May.
At the same time, he had announced that some relaxation will be sanctioned in some areas where the impact of the coronavirus pandemic is less. Accordingly, the Central Home Ministry has released the guidelines.
However, there are no relaxations in the state of Tamil Nadu. It was announced that the lockdown will continue.
In this scenario, permission has been granted to resume the 100 days job opportunity scheme in Tamil Nadu from 3rd May. In a similar guideline, it has been announced that both the central and state government offices can resume functioning but with only 33% of the staff on duty!
Permission has been granted to resume certain activities such as desilting of water-bodies, etc.
Irrigation, dam protection. roads, bridges, and brick kilns to resume work.
The Medical Colleges can resume the construction work in the hospitals. Also, certain duties such as drinking water distribution, cleaning work, and electricity-related work can all be resumed!
