How Samsung Pay works?

Posted on: 27/Mar/2017 3:31:53 PM
Samsung launched Samsung Pay, a new digital payments service in India. With this, all debit cards, credit cards and wallets will be brought under the same roof.

Samsung Pay will be a service for Samsung S7 Edge, S7 and S6 Edge Plus users. For all those who use series 2016 and 2017 and Note 5 users, a service update on MasterCard Rupay payment cards and Visa card will be done.

Cards of banks including ICICI, HDFC, Standard Chartered, SBI, Axis bank, etc will also be supported in addition with Paytm and Amex cards. Very soon, acceptance to UPI and CitiBank cards are likely.

Samsung Pay service is applicable also to Samsung Gear S3.

How it works?
The Samsung phones should be updated to the latest software. Following this, Samsung Pay app should be downloaded and this should be linked with the users bank or Paytm or debit card or credit card accounts.

The first primary step is to link the card with wallet to the Samsung Pay account.

When the pay service found at the bottom is swiped, users can make transactions using phones. The different options with the respective card for paying will be made available. The card should be selected and brought close to Point of Sale machine. When the amount to be transacted is entered by the merchant, the machine will get it connected to the payment gateway and request for bank or ATM pin. When this is entered, the transaction gets over.
