Kamal Haasan inaugurates SICA official website

South Indian Cinematographers Association has officially launched its website, which saw the inauguration by eminent personalities like Bharathiraja, Kamal Haasan and Vairamuthu. The event was presided by the Association President P.C. Sriram, Secretary P. Kannan, Treasurer Ramnath Shetty and many others versatile cinematographers.
Speaking on the occasion, Kamal Haasan said, “Apart from choreographer and makeup artist, I would have become a cinematographer as well. I managed to learn few processes here and even the makeup of my moustache in Virumaandi was designed by me. In cinema, each and every department is so much important. Cinematographers are the only medium of turning our imagination into reality. If few investments are made bigger, cinematographers from our industry will outsmart the international panorama itself.
This official website means a lot to the cinematographers as it would engage them with useful measures and indeed give them enlightenment on needed topics. I have been an ardent learner of cinematography, where I intended to learn more things from seniors and even smallest things from the younger generation. Someone happened to address us as ‘Tamizh Porukki’ (Tamil speaking Scoundrels). Yes, I am a Tamizh Porukki, but not the one in New Delhi, I am doing it here in Tamil land. Don’t mistake me that I am bringing political references here. I am so much spellbound over the concept of bringing the website is in Tamil language too to make it more aware among all the cinematographers.
