Prospects of rain in South Tamil Nadu

The director of the Chennai Meteorological Centre explained that with the onset of the northeast monsoon rainy season, a low depression zone has formed over the central Bay of Bengal area and has stabilized near Sri Lanka.
Because of this depression, there are good prospects of rain in the next 24 hours in a few places in South Tamil Nadu and one or two places in North Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.
Chennai will generally remain cloudy. There might be light drizzles in a few places.
