The worlds deepest Railway station set to be located under the Great Wall of China

China has planned to build a Railway Station underneath the ‘Great wall of China’, reputed to be one of the 7 wonders of the world.
The Great Wall of China, known as one of the 7 wonders of the world, has been a huge tourist attraction. Around 30000 visitors are there every day. With the Winter Olympics in 2022 scheduled to be conducted in China, the proposed Railway Station is planned to be constructed below the Great Wall.
The station will be located at Badaling, the most visited section of the Great Wall which lies about 80km (50 miles) north-west of Beijing. The site received 30,000 tourists in just one day during the Chinese New Year holiday week, according to the China National Tourism Administration.
The cities Zhangjiakou and Beijing would be linked through this station.
The station will be built with maximum care quite in the deep in order not to cause any damage to the world wonder, the great wall of China.
The Department of railways, China explained that the proposed railway station would be constructed 335’ under the ground surface of the Great Wall of China.
This railway station would be linking all the cities where winter Olympics are scheduled to be conducted.Utmost care is being taken in order not to cause any damage to the hugely popular and one of the 7 wonders of the world, ‘The Great Wall of China’.
