CM wishes Dipika Pallikal, Rs 20 lakh cash reward to be given

Dipika Pallikal who won Bronze medal in the ongoing 17th Asian Games Inchon, South Korea received appreciation from Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalitha on Monday. In her congratulation message, the CM mentioned the champion would receive a cash reward of Rs 20 lakh from the state government.
It is to be remembered that the state government, in December 2011, increased the reward for Asian Game champions to Rs 20 lakh.
With your victory in grabbing the Bronze medal, you have made us all very proud for yet another time. I wholeheartedly wish you on behalf of our entire state for your incredible achievement, she stated.
The CM never failed to leave out those who were standing as a support for the champion. She also did mention her wishes to those who supported her in her laurels.
To be remembered now is the Rs 50 lakh cash award Dipika received during August for her Gold Medal in Commonwealth Games.
