For almost 7 years since the beginning of construction of metro rail underground corridor, the commuters on Anna Salai have been combating the chaotic traffic.

Chennai Metro Rail revises time table

On the occasion of Deepavali, Chennai Metro Rail has revised the time table of train services for 4 days.
In addition to the existing Eco Friendly Bi- Cycle scheme available at CMRL Metro Stations namely Ekkattuthangal, Nehru Park, Thirumangalam and Anna Nagar Tower metro stations.
The Chennai Metro Rail Administration has informed that Metro tracks are to be laid between Chennai Mint - Washermanpet to Wimco Nagar. The tunnelling work covering a distance of 1.8 km from Mint to Korukkupet has been completed.
