Posted on: 13/Mar/2017 11:50:21 AM
MedIndia Hospitals has come up with a new emergency medical care card. People can take this card wherever they go. Addressing the hospital’s continuing medical education programme, T. S. Chandrasekar, the Chairman of MedIndia Hospitals Research and Training Institute launched the care card, touting it as a best pal to travel with when unaccompanied by any others.

This card will contain comprehensive detail of name, age, gender, contact mobile number, blood group, and a list of most common diseases. If one wants this card, a thorough master checkup will be done at slashed rate to provide the card.

The list of disease mentioned in the card will include diabetes, heart and liver ailments, blood pressure, bleeding disorders, asthma, fits, and other allergies. The patient’s conditions out of these in the list will be marked on the card.

Appreciating the initiative, the State President of Indian Medical Association, T.N. Ravisankar also placed a suggestion that the card be converted as swipe card. Through public-private partnership programmes, we can make it possible for the rural population to gain access to healthcare services at Primary Health centres.

The event also saw participation by the Director of Madras Medical College, A. Murali.
