Ladies out there. Your handbag is dangerous. Do you know why?

Many a times, we notice women placing their handbags or clutches on public toilet slabs, and go on placing the same on dining table or other places in and around our house.
We often presume the reason for stomach upset or food poisoning to be the restaurant food, but there are many hidden reasons you would not have even imagined of.
Women can’t live without their handbags! They make it a content piece with all essentials that they carry everywhere - right from their kitchen tables to public toilets to office cabins to trial rooms, and literally ‘everywhere’.
A study was recently conducted by Nelson Laboratories in Salt Lake where an average woman’s handbag was tested. The test results put everyone dumbstruck with the surprising volume of dirt discovered in them to such an extent that even microbiologists were left speechless.
Amy Karen, a Microbiologist from Nelson Labs says that each and every handbag they tested did not just contain hefty bacteria population, but that all of them had toxic bacteria types.
- Pseudomonas can lead to eye infections
- Staphylococcus aurous can lead to skin infections
- Salmonella and e-coli in handbags can put people sick
A sampling with 4 to 5 handbags were made in which all of them were tested positive of Salmonella. It is a fatal contamination, says the microbiologist – Amy. As compared to leather, vinyl and cloth handbags, the first two kinds are cleaner than the last. Lifestyle, of course, plays a vital role here.
Comparing those who have kids and those who don’t, people who have kids have got dirtier handbags. On the other hand, women who often visit nightclubs had the worst contamination of all others.
The verdict
We aren’t here to threaten you that your handbag would put you in deathbed, but it is capable of putting you very sick if you go on placing it anywhere and everywhere you go. Make use of hooks in toilets or at home rather than placing it on the desk or restaurant table or on countertop area.
Consider your handbag just the way you consider your pair of shoes. Would you place your shoes on the kitchen countertop? This is equivalent to putting your handbag on the area!
Remember: your handbag goes to places where the others have walked, sneezed, coughed, urinated or emptied their bowels.
Are you willing to bring home all of it with you?
So what is the solution? You got to very often clean the handbag. In case of cloth handbag, wash it often, and for leather bags, clean it thoroughly, particularly its bottom!
