Stop with one child or have one more?

Posted on: 20/Oct/2016 9:34:41 AM
All those who have planned to stop with just one kid would have probably come across the question when’s the next. They will argue asking why your kid should grow up alone, he needs to be  accompanied, etc. They claim that the child grows up without enough social skills and will be dependent on others in various stages of their life. Setting these typical talks apart, what really makes one child not enough?

There are both advantages as well as disadvantages with having just one child. There are a number of reasons to it including preference of parents, economic condition, family support they get, parental commitments, etc. Of course, it is easy to have just one child. Most women, almost all women compromise their career to take good care of their child. By stopping with just one child, a mother can enjoy a win-win situation where she can play a good mother and focus at work too.

A lot of parents consider financial aspects in bringing up the child. Parents have a lot of loans to handle and having a second child will indeed impose pressure on them. According to studies conducted globally, families that have two or more than two kids are happier. In a country like India, getting extended family’s support is also to be taken under consideration. When both parents are working, it is in fact hard to take care of even one child.

However, on the whole, it completely depends on how you grow up the child that decides whether or not to stop with one.
