Foods toddlers should avoid

Toddlers are explorers. For the first time, they are introduced to new tastes, emotions, smells.. But the stomach is still growing and is not strong enough for regular adult food. Here are a list of foods to avoid giving your young one. 

Coloured and artificially flavoured candy may look appealing but are full of unnecessary sugars. Also, they are sticky and stick to the palette. 

Introducing your toddler to aerated drinks at a young age not only gives them unwanted sugars but leads to obesity at a later stage. 

Foods with high sodium content like ketchup or pickles should be avoided. 

Cheese can lead to indigestion and/ or stomach ache. 

Sweetened breakfast cereal has excess sugar and is not appropriate for the toddler.
