To sizzle with your stilettos trotting around, a little correction in your habits is required. According to a new study report, women those who enjoy wearing 10 cm high heels more than thrice a week develop an imbalance in their functional ankle muscle.
 
To note, high-heeled shoes were believed to strengthen ankle muscle. However, overuse or prolonged use of such high-heeled shoes will cause imbalance that leads to ankle injury.
 
The trick told by the co-author of the article, Dr. Yong-Seok Jee says few simple tricks for the wearers. Exercise is the mantra that he says too. Heel walking, toe tappers, heel raises, etc are some of the strengthening exercises for making your heels healthier. He recommends these to those who often wear high-heeled slippers or shoes. These can act as best preventive measure for the same. The reports of the study is published in the International Journal of Clinical Practice.
