Ceasing 50 Paise Monthly Hike in Diesel Rate till Election Poll – Government Revealed

As government in the complicated situation, it cannot withdraw the monthly 50 paise hike in the diesel rate till the completion of the Election Poll process, Election Commission (EC) revealed on Thursday.
We have no objections to the oil companies’ decision on increasing the price of the diesel by 50 paise or more than that monthly, said Election Commissioner Harishankar Brahma.
During the CNBC TV18 interview, he gave a lucid explanation that, the EC has no part in the decision, but the Reserve Bank and Government ought to get informed.
People will definitely look into the matter very closely and pore over why price rising was done earlier and why they have stopped raising now. Replying to it, the situation can certainly be overdue till elections are over, he added.
The Election Commission did not foresee any objection for rendering the licenses by the RBI and if at all need, we will be ready in issuing No objection Certificate, stated by the officials.
Even Election Commission will over welcome the idea of opening new banking institution whichever is needed in our country, he included additionally.
