CMRL Wins Two Global Greentech Awards for Gender Equality & Environmental Protection
Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL) has been honored with two prestigious Global Greentech Environmental and Sustainability Awards 2025 for its excellence in Gender Equality and Environmental Protection. The awards were presented at the Environmental and Sustainability Summit 2025 in New Delhi.
CMRL’s Managing Director, Thiru M.A. Siddique, I.A.S., received the awards alongside other senior officials. This is the first time CMRL has received the Gender Equality Award, recognizing its inclusive policies in recruitment, leadership, and workplace safety.
CMRL was also recognized for its environmental efforts in resource management, energy efficiency, water conservation, and reduced carbon emissions, contributing to sustainable urban transportation.
The recognition affirms CMRL’s leadership in building a safe, inclusive, and eco-friendly transport system for Chennai.
