Ity is worthy to note that a flyover or an over bridge is being constructed from Kodambakkam power house to Poonamallee highway. Point is that the work of laying railway tracks at several places between Porur and Poonamallee has reached the final stage of engineering completion work.
The train services between Poonamallee and Porur would start from December month. The trail run has been going on in this route for the last few months. In this scenario, following the track testing and running of metro train from Poonamalle workshop metro station and Porur junction metro station in the phase-2 of CMRL project on route-4, yesterday (6th June 2025) the CMRL has started the test run of metro trains from Porur junction metro station to Poonamallee workshop metro station.
