Jio MAMI Mumbai Film Festival Partners with Royal Stag Barrel Select Large Short Films

The Jio MAMI Mumbai Film Festival has joined forces with Royal Stag Barrel Select Large Short Films to create a platform for both new and established filmmakers to showcase authentic stories in the short film format. This partnership aims to nurture filmmakers` enthusiasm for short films, a format gaining popularity for its bold storytelling and challenging of the status quo.
This competition category is open to filmmakers from across India. A selection committee will shortlist the top 10 entries, which will then be evaluated by a panel of judges to determine winners in two categories. The chosen top 10 short films will premiere on the big screen at the festival, with cash awards for the winners in both categories.
The collaboration aims to provide a global stage for emerging filmmakers, offering them visibility and recognition among industry professionals, peers, and film enthusiasts worldwide.

Competition Rules:
- Participants must be Indian citizens.
- Submitted short films should be under 10 minutes in duration.
- Selected short films will exclusively premiere at the Jio MAMI 2023 film festival.
- Short films must have a CBFC certificate; in the absence of one, screening will require an exemption from the Ministry of I&B, Govt. of India.
