The Chief Secretary of the State Government of Tamil Nadu has informed that the candidates interested in participating in the Model Examination conducted by the Indian Administrative Services Training Centre can submit their willingness to write the model examination.
In a notification released by the Chief Secretary of the State Government of Tamil Nadu, Iraiyanbu, it is mentioned:
In the All India Administrative Services Training Centre functioning under the State Government of Tamil Nadu, training is given as a preparation to write the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) Preliminary and the Main Examinations.
In the current financial year, out of the 80 candidates who participated in the training, 12 candidates have passed the preliminary Examination. Out of these 12 successful candidates, 3 candidates had chosen Tamil as their preferred subject!
Presently, a model Main Examination is to be conducted for these candidates as training for these candidates who will be writing the Final IAS examination. In this training session, candidates who have been successful in passing the Preliminary IAS examination can also join. Note that are no fees to be paid for this training.

For the successful candidates who had to visit Delhi for further selection, financial assistance of Rs. 2000/- was given as the travel allo0wance by the IAS Training Centre every year. This travel allowance has now been increased to Rs. 5000/-!
