Chennai Metro City: Metro Train services will operate tomorrow - Sunday, 25th April!

Though lockdown has been declared by the State Government of Tamil Nadu on Sundays and tomorrow, 25th April being the 1st Sunday after the declaration of lockdown, the Chennai Metro Rail Administration has informed that the Metro Trains will be operated in Chennai Metro City on Sunday, 25th April (tomorrow) from 7.00 AM to 9.00 AM.
Chennai Metro Rail administration has further announced that the Metro trains will be operated at the interval of 1-hour-2-hours and in the section Chennai Central-Koyambedu-Chennai Airport, services will be operated once in 2 hours!
Similarly, Metro trains will be operated at 2-hour intervals in the section Chennai Central-St. Thomas Mount. Trains will be operated at 10hour interval in the section Wimco Nagar-Airport.
Due to the fast and wide-spreading raging resurgent coronavirus pandemic, the State Government of Tamil Nadu was constrained to announce lockdown imposition recently! Accordingly, the announced lockdown restrictions have been imposed from 20th April along with 100% lockdown during ni9ghts.100% lockdown is imposed on all Sundays as well!
