Heat wave alert issued now in Chennai and TN - Public etc must not work in open from 12 to 4 pm

On Tuesday, Chennai and Tamil Nadu witnessed record breaking high temperatures and this made the lives of people tough. Now, the Regional Meteorological Centre or RMC has issued a heat wave warning for 5 days with an increase in the temperatures by 2 to 3 degrees in some districts in TN. Low pressure has been formed over the Andaman Sea and due to this coastal warning has been issued to the fishermen also is known.
According to an official belonging to RMC, ground winds are blowing towards TN from north-west. It is now said that various districts in TN such as Chennai, Kancheepuram, Chengalpet, Tiruvallur, Vellore, Ranipet, Tirupati, Tiruvannamalai, Villupuram, Cuddalore, Salem, Krishnagiri, Dharmapuri, Kallakurichi, Namakkal, Karur, Trichy, Mayiladuthurai and Ariyalur would have hot weather till 4th of April. The official later mentioned that the public, farmers, voters, election candidates, traffic police etc have been asked not to work from noon to 4pm in the open and to refrain from strenuous activities etc.
Truth is that the minimum temperatures in districts like Madurai, Sivagangai, and Pudukottai etc would be 2 to 3 degrees above the normal. The maximum temperature in Chennai is likely to be 39 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature would be around 29 degrees Celsius for the next 2 days. Information is that due to low pressure in Andaman Sea a coastal warning has been issued to the fishermen. In the next 24 hours, the prevailing low pressure in the central Andaman Sea is likely to develop into deep depression. The release from RMC stated that until 4th April the fishermen have been requested not to go into the deep sea in these areas.
There would be hurricane winds of 40 to 50 kmph on 1st April in the Andaman Sea. Strong winds up to 40 to 50 kmph are expected in Kumarikkadal, Coastal places of TN and in the Gulf of Mannar.
