Time extension given for submitting GST accounts!

Another 3 months’ extension has been given to file the GST returns for the financial year 2018-19.
The lockdown imposition throughout the country will be until 17th May as a main preventive activity against the spreading of the raging coronavirus pandemic.
In this situation, it would be rather difficult for the industries from various sectors to file the annual GST returns. Hence, time extension for another 3 months has been given to submit the same.
In a similar application, the electronic receipts which were created on 24th March or before would be valid until 31st May.
The Central Department of indirect taxes has ‘tweeted’ the above info in its Twitter page!
