As the Public Examination approaches, free NEET coaching classes for Govt Schools stopped!

The Tamil Nadu State Government Department of School Education has announced that the free coaching classes for writing NEET (for pursuing medical courses) conducted exclusively for the government school students are being stopped.
This decision has been taken as the Public Examinations for the 11th & 12th standard is fast approaching!
A pass in NEET (National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test) is mandatory to join medical courses. The admission to medical colleges is based on the performance in NEET. Considering this important aspect, the free coaching classes fort eh government school students to prepare for NEET was organised.
On behalf of the State government Department of School Education, free coaching classes for NEET are being organised every year since the academic year 2017-18. However, during the academic year 2017-18, none of the students who attended the free coaching classes passed NEET!
During the academic year 2018-19, 5 students passed NEET.
The free coaching classes for the government school students for NEET for the academic year 2019-20 are being conducted throughout the state of Tamil Nadu in 412 centres.
These coaching classes were being conducted during weekends, quarterly examination vacation period, and the half-yearly examination vacation period. With the coaching classes having been conducted only for 29 days, the state government Department of School Education has announced that it is stopping the free NEET coaching classes.
The State Government department of School Education has explained that this has been stopped as the practical examination for the 11th and 12th standards are all set to start and also with the Public Examinations dates approaching fast!
