Medical admissions in 2020 might not be there in the new medical colleges in TN

For the construction of 9 new medical colleges in the state of TN, special officers have been posted and tenders have been granted is known.
Important point is none of these new medical colleges would open admissions for the year 2020.
It is now revealed that the target for these medical officers posted in each of these colleges is to ensure admissions for 1350 seats in 9 colleges by the year 2021. Under the centres scheme, TN was given permission to start 9 medical colleges is known. The cabinet committee on economic affairs approved setting up of as many as 75 medical colleges by 2021-22 and this was in the month of August.
For the purpose of increasing the medical colleges, the centre has proposed to partially fund the project. It must be taken into account that TN with 24 medical colleges proposed medical colleges in 2 batches. In places like Tiruppur, Nilgris, Ramanathapuram, Namakkal, Dindigul and Virudhunagar 6 medical colleges were proposed in the first batch. Important point is once the decks were cleared for all the 6 medical colleges, TN applied for permission to set up medical colleges in coastal and tribal places like Krishnagiri, Tiruvallur and Nagapattinam. After the local body elections, tenders would be handed over for the colleges in Krishnagiri, Tiruvallur and Nagapattinam.
For every district, the state is planning to have atleast one medical college hospital and this was brought out by the state health minister, Mr. C. Vijayabhaskar. He explained the benefits of having new medical college in each district and said there would be more MBBS seats plus tertiary health care facility would be provided to the people.
Superb point here is 9 new medical colleges would add 150 seats each in the districts and create more than 9000 jobs for doctors, nurses, paramedical staffs etc. Before the deadline given by MCI, it would not be possible to finish the construction of the medical colleges and ready human resources. This was as per the officials at the DME. It was later pointed out that nearly a dozen blocks would be built which included classrooms, library, labs, hostels etc.
