Rural scientist innovator awards - Apply before 10th January!

Science City, Chennai (Higher education) has announced that applications have to be submitted before 10th January for the Rural Science Innovation award.
The Vice-president of the Chennai Science City Sagayam has released a notification in this regard:
With an objective to encourage the skill of the village people and make them come up with useful scientific innovations and honor them for their achievements in this endeavor, Science City offers a prize of Rupees 1 Lakh every year as ordered by the Tamil Nadu State Government.
Accordingly, the innovator must be from a rural area and should have studied genetics with skills in making innovations of new devices/systems.
The term ‘ooragam’ signifies the village administration and the small city administration. So, this award WILL NOT apply to city and larger city administrations.
The candidates must submit the complete details of the innovation with relevant documents, certificates, photographs, drawings and graphs related, test reports, etc., and send the signed original document to Science City.
The sample application form for this purpose can be downloaded from the official website of Science City.
In case the innovation of the candidate has been recognized by other organizations, this must be informed to the Science City. Similarly, all other related information can be informed to the Science City.
If required, the model/sample of the functioning of the innovation must be sent with details.
Candidates who are employees in organizations /companies must submit their applications with a ‘No Objection Certificate’ (NOC) given by the Head of the organization/company.
In case the innovation has been made by a group of candidates, the application must be sent with the individual approval bu each member of the group.
The applications, with all the attachments as detailed above, must be sent through the respective district collector offices before 10th January to the Science City.
