Central government has decided to ban 1-time-use plastics

The central ministry of commerce and industry has ordered that plastic should not be used for wrapping parcels to commercial organizations.
A senior official from the ministry of commerce and industry explained in this regard:
‘The central government has decided to ban 1-time-use’plastic. This rule is being implemented gradually. In this situation, it has been ordered that the commercial organizations must gradually stop using the ‘1-time-use’ plastic.
Online trading agencies have the regular procedure of sending ordered items in the plastic parcel. It has been advised to stop this practice. Some other material replacing plastics must be used.
In this regard, a Press Relations Officer from Amazon shared:
‘We have already reduced the usage of of’1-use-plastic’ items. Presently, we are using this only for less than 7% of the parcels sent. We will stop the use of plastic quite soon.’
