Government school teachers in TN to get free laptops

There are more than 2.5lakh teachers working in government and government aided schools in the state of Tamil Nadu. The latest news is these teachers would get free laptops as the government of TN is planning to give free laptops to these government and government aided school teachers.

School education minister, Mr. Sengottaiyan, spoke about how an announcement regarding the issue of free laptops to the teachers would be made after the discussions with the chief minister of TN. The school education minister expressed his thoughts about free lap tops at a function organised in Chennai on the occasion of Teacher’s Day, 5th September 2019.

It is worthy to mention that the school education department is presently distributing free laptops for the postgraduate teachers to enable them to teach the students of classes 11 and classes 12 by utilizing the online resource.

The superb piece of information is 90,000 blackboards present in the schools would be replaced by smart boards in this year and this would be carried out by the state government as a part of central government scheme. There would be revamping of vocational education system that is in vogue in TN and this would also be done by the government.

Recently, school education minister Mr. Sengottaiyan and school education secretary Mr. Pradeep Yadav visited Finland to know about the latest techniques used in the classrooms plus the vocational education system present in that Scandinavian country.

According to Mr. Sengottaiyan, an 18 year old youngster could live without depending on his/her parents. He added that the vocational education system in Finland was very good and the students become professionals after completing their school education. He mentioned about how the teachers would be sent to Finland so that they could get trained in the vocational education. It must be noted that the training and other details would be finalized after the discussions with the officials in Finland. The school education minister later spoke about how the government wanted to bring changes in the system so that the students from class 9 would get vocational training in the schools.

Exercise and sports are taught by the schools to the students in Finland to attract the students. It was later pointed out by the fisheries minister Mr. Jayakumar that to capture the student attention the teachers must adapt themselves to the modern methods of teaching. Information collected is at the function as many as 377 teachers received Dr. Radhakrishnan award for the best teachers.
