Chennai metro stations to have posters on election awareness campaign by famous Tamil celebrities

Chennai people love their Tamil film celebrities are well known. It is now said that these Tamil film celebrities would be giving tips to the metro rail commuters in Chennai regarding casting their votes without receiving any bribe. The important point is CMRL or Chennai Metro Rail Limited has taken the election awareness videos to the social media. In all the 32 metro stations in Chennai there would be posters and videos displayed.
As many as 12 videos have been made by the TN Election Commission and these videos would have speeches on the importance of voting given by some popular Tamil film personalities like actor Vijay Sethupathy, Cricketer Dinesh Karthik, squash player Deepika Pallikal, actor Vivek and singer SPB. This was confirmed by the metro rail officials.
It is important to mention that the posters also encourage them to call the voter helpline at 1950 to find the nearest voting booth. The official belonging to CMRL spoke about how posters would be put up at all the 32 metro stations plus inside the metro train coaches. He added that this is the effort taken by CMRL to encourage the metro train commuters to cast their votes for this upcoming election. There are slots near the doors of metro trains and these slots are now sold as space for advertisement. The point is awareness posters on elections and voting would be put in these slots. This has been confirmed by the officials of CMRL.
The videos and posters that are put up on the social media are being viewed widely and shared. Important information collected is CMRL hopes that displaying these videos and posters at the metro stations and inside the coaches would have great reach because of the fact that the average ridership is about 1 lakh passengers per day. Now more people use metro trains in the morning as well as in the evening peak hours and the patronage of trains has improved. It is known that the popular metro stations in Chennai now are Vadapalani, Central, airport, Thirumangalam etc and from these stations an average of 3000 people board trains every day.
