An Online application facility for approval of Matriculation Schools

A new facility for online registration for the approval of Matriculation Schools has been introduced.
There are more than 4399 schools functioning in Tamil Nadu under the Matriculation Schools System. Approval for these schools to function was given when the schools were opened and then to renew this approval once in 3 years.
In this situation, a decision was taken to introduce an online facility for the continuity of approval for the schools to function. Subsequently, this authority was handed over to the District Primary Education Officers and the District Education Officer with a Government Order 101 released during May 2018.
Subsequently, these officials have undertaken the responsibility to scrutinize the application and approve the continuity of these Matriculation Schools.
However, some complaints were received in the procedure for approval for continuity. In order to eliminate any such complaints, the Matriculation School system had decided to introduce the online facility to apply and get the approval/
Thu, the State Government Department of School Education has now informed that the new online process would eliminate the scope for any undue delay in getting the approval for functioning.
