Operating time to be extended by the Chennai Metro in 2 weeks

Many residents belonging to Chennai city use metro trains frequently these days are known. Here comes amazing piece of news that would bring cheers on the faces of frequent metro train users. It is now revealed that in about 2 weeks of time Chennai Metro would be increasing its hours of operation from 4:30 am in the morning till 11 pm in the night.

The sources have pointed out that additional security personnel would have to be deployed at the metro stations if the operating time of the metro train gets extended. It is worthy to note that personnel from private security firm plus the police belonging to TN State play important part in providing security at the metro stations in Chennai.

It is important to mention here that all other necessary arrangements including additional manpower to run the trains and to manage the metro stations are already in place to operate the metro train services for extended time duration. This has been confirmed by another source belonging to CMRL. It is highly important to have more police personnel at the metro stations in Chennai to provide security for the commuters. For this purpose discussions are going on to deploy more police personnel at the metro stations.

As per the official statement it is clear that the arrangements have been going on and they would be in place as soon as possible. The point is currently Chennai Metro runs train services from morning 6 am till 10 pm in the night. During the early morning and during the late night hours, there would be metro train for every half hour when the metro train services get extended in the coming weeks.

The important information collected is there would be train at 4:30 am, 5 am and 5:30 am and from 6 am onwards there would be metro train services for every 7 minutes in the peak hours. There would be services for every 14 minutes in non-peak hours too. It is said that there would be trains at 10:30 pm and 11 pm. 

An official belonging to CMRL threw light on how the first and last metro trains would depart from all 4 terminal stations like St. Thomas Mount, Chennai Central, Washermanpet and Chennai airport. It was pointed out that in the initial stages there would be metro train services for half hour and the response for this would be noted. The frequency of metro trains would be increased depending on the people using the trains.
