Difficult class 10 mathematics question paper has made students unhappy now

On 25th March 2019, students belonging to class 10 in TN wrote their mathematics paper. The shocking piece of information collected is this mathematics question paper was one of the toughest in the recent years. Many students who wrote the mathematics paper found it so tough that they were in tears. In addition to this some students even fainted in the examination halls as they were unable to answer the mathematics question paper.
As per the students belonging to the Chennai city schools the question paper had only few familiar questions. It must be noted that the questions under the 2 marks category were twisted and only few questions were asked from the first few lessons. Some questions could not be understood was also one of the complaints from the students belonging to Chennai schools.
A student who wrote the mathematics question paper spoke about how she could finish just 50 % of the paper and how the questions were very tough. The point is the students were totally upset regarding the mathematics question paper and this was shown in their dull faces.
It was then brought out by some teachers that the tough mathematics question paper would certainly bring down the pass percentage as many students could not answer more than 20 marks. Teachers then added that for the slow learners out of 9 five mark questions the students could answer just one question whereas the average students would have answered 3 to 4 questions only. Unfamiliarity in the 2 marks section made many students as well as the teachers unhappy.
The headmasters of some schools spoke their heart out. They were unhappy about the mathematics question paper being so tough. They spoke about the importance of preparing the students for higher education and competitive examinations etc. The headmasters even highlighted the truth that not all the students would study engineering or MBBS courses as there are also slow learners and rural based students. Finally it was said that the mathematics question paper was prepared without considering all the students.
Teachers were of the opinion that this mathematics question paper had 70 percent of tough questions for the students. They hinted that normally question papers would have 40% easy questions, 30% moderate level and 30 % difficult questions mixed together. The important point to be noted here is the above average students who wrote the mathematics paper would be able to score more than 60 marks.
