As the official website of the central Teachers Examination Board had completely failed, the candidates intending to apply were put to great difficulties. Subsequently, an additional week’s time has been extended to apply online.

In order to get an appointment as a teacher in the schools such as Kendriya Vidyalaya, Navodaya Vidyalaya, Sainik or the army schools functioning under the direct control of the central government, it is mandatory for the graduates applying to pass in the Central TET (Central Teachers’ Eligibility Test). CTET for this year is scheduled to be conducted on 7th July.

The online application process for this CTET commenced on 5th February. Earlier, the deadline was fixed s yesterday (Tuesday, 5th March).  In this situation, thousands of candidates had tried to apply online yesterday (being the last day) throughout the country. Due to this, the website for CTET collapsed from early morning. No one could register online!

Subsequently, there was a demand seeking a week’s extension for registering online. Accordingly, CBSE announced yesterday night that the last date to apply online for CTET has been extended until 12th March.
